The goal of reading books I already own is not succeeding but technically I only bought three books in February. Yay for Kindle Unlimited! 😂

Reading Stats:
I finished 9 books in February of the 12 that I started. Unlike last month those were not DNFs but just too thick to finish in time.
- 1 Physical Book
- 3 eBooks
- 5 Audiobooks
- 3,109 Total Pages
Book Hauls:
My best book friend Sarah gave me a present proving her true love. She sent me a box set of the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. Of course, since she had already given me the six main books I had to order the matching novellas.
The only planned purchase of the month was a success. Barnes and Noble was down to their last eight copies when I arrived on release day for Crescent City: A House of Sky and Breath.
My December book box arrived with a copy of Dreams Lie Beneath by Rebecca Ross. The blanket that came in the box was so soft. We got a new couch in my husband’s office so I can read near him and Tilly has
claimed both couch and blanket as hers.

Mini Book Reviews:
The February Prompt from Buzzwordathon was a book with a pronoun in the title. The original plan was Out of My Mind but since I received Shatter Me plans were averted. I’ve read Shatter Me at least a half-dozen times now but never its sequels because it’s all the library had.
Four of the Five audiobooks I listened to this month were a series by Megan O’Russell.
- The Tethering
- The Siren’s Realm
- The Dragon Unbound
- The Blood Heir
The fifth audiobook was Daughter of the Pirate King by Trinca Levenseller. It was a lighthearted audiobook for while I did chores to counterbalance the heavy Fantasy I was reading during the day.
At the start of February, I very hesitantly started Gild by Raven Kennedy on Kindle Unlimited. I was incredibly nervous because I thought the sexual content might be too violent throughout the book. Thank goodness I was wrong! There is definitely violence and sexual content but they were mostly separate events. I ended up reading all three books (Gild, Glint, and Gleam)in four days and am eagerly awaiting the release of the fourth in May.
The wonderful advantage of reading on my kindle is how lightweight it is, versus this monstrosity:

I started House of Sky and Breath and made it to page 730 out of 805 pages before February ended. I really liked it so far but my brain got tired so even though I have less than a hundred pages left I haven’t finished it.
I also started The Lost Hero as a group read with Sarah and Briana. We’re taking it four chapters a day so we’ll finish the first full week of March. I may have also started ACOTAR on audiobook again because I convinced a friend to read it for the first time and I needed to have the feels again too.
Looking Forward:
I don’t think I’ll get quite as many pages read in March as I did in February due to working on finals for college (I’m in my last semester)and my very frantic job hunting. I do plan to finish HoSaB and The Lost Hero at least. The March Buzzwordathon prompt is a location so I’ll probably pick something short and light to follow up the emotional damage HoSaB is sure to bring.
Hey Guys! We’re on TikTok now! I know we’re super late to the party but it’s still a party!!!
Keep your eyes open for the shop updates coming at the end of March too 👀.
