I’m still me – Asher Ferguson

I’m still me

Cut my hair,
Go change my name.
Deep inside
I’m still the same

Dress me up,
Claim I’m like you.
But my mind
Will still shine through

Pin me down,
Push me around.
Still my soul
Will not be bound

Lock my door,
Say I’m not me.
But one day
I will be free
